If you have an Android device you can get started on the web today with a web client like this: https://nostr.rocks/
Then when the Android Damus client comes out you can use your same keys (same account) there. The beauty of decentralized technology means you don’t have to wait!
I played with Bitclout when it first came out, but I haven't followed it since the rebrand/abstraction-change to DESO.
I dug around, but I didn't find any novel ideas there from a decentralization technology perspective. They got some large audience people on there early and made it easy for them to do token drops, but I found the whole money tie-in a little awkward. Felt like a bolt-on rather than core.
I'm waiting for there to be an Android app before I join. My only device is my phone at the moment.

You don't need Damus to use Nostr so pick another client and dive in today.
